Measurement standards always need to be realized with the highest accuracy possible in response to the needs of the time. Toward this end, NMIJ is continuously working on research by taking advantage of the most advanced technology in cooperation with other countries throughout the world. NMIJ is also conducting research on developing more sophisticated ways to provide national standards that have already been established.
